Welcome...
Hi everyone and welcome to my London's Happiest Bus Drivers site. I am so glad that you have decided to drop by, take your time and check out my site, there is lots to see! Happy browsing!!
I appreciate all my customers and I am so grateful that you guys take the time out of your busy days to write/type out a message to show your appreciation for what I do daily. Here are some of the beautiful comments you the customer have sent in via TFL or HCT Group. Thank you.
Comments from customer; A big thank you to Patrick our bus driver. Such a happy Character and so welcoming of his guests onto the bus. It really brightened my day. TFL has a real impact on hundreds of thousands of it's users' days and people like Patrick have a positive impact.
Comments; This is the second time I have been on a bus with this driver and it is an absolute pleasure. He welcomes every person and provides information both to individuals and generally. He always has a cheerful farewell to people leaving his bus. He really seems to enjoy his work and his attitude is such a contrast to that of so many, I do hope he gets some positive recognition or at least is told that he is appreciated.
Comments; The most jolly bus driver in UK that I have ever met!
Patrick welcomed us all personally and at first I thought it was someone in the bus - but then I realised it was the driver!
That was lovely! Not just a hello but a hello, good day and welcome that conveyed joy, warmth and kindness!
We sat at the top of the bus and for the first two stops the Patrick commented on the journey - which truly mademy day. He did this for the children on the bus - but I equally enjoyed it!
Currently my boyfriend is revising for exams and it has been a stressful time. Furthermore, later on in the day, we met someone, who wasn't so kind and to cheer ourselves up - we thought of the warmth that Patrick communicated to us. Just with a hello! Thank you for making my day and adding some sparkle to my journey. Your positivity is inspiring! A big thank you Patrick! I every bus driver acted in Patricks delightful manner, I think London would become a very happy and kind place.
Q. Should buses stop at every bus stop?
A. Not exactly, if their is nobody at the bus stop. However, if the driver sees you and thinks you may need the bus then he may stop even if you do not put out your hand. It will be helpful to put out your hand so that the driver is sure and you get your bus.
Q. I have a vision impairment which means I am not able to see the bus number however I feel when I ask a bus driver what number is his or her bus they ask me can I not see the number and that makes me feel embarrassed. Are they not trained about visually impaired people?
A. We as bus drivers are trained to be understanding of all our customers needs and when asked by a customer at the bus stop what number is our bus we should reply by letting you know what number our bus is because we are aware of customers who are visually impaired. And also we are trained to look out for any customers that may need our assistance for example a blind person with a white stick, we will pull up close to the pavement, lower the bus and inform that blind person what number our bus is, to be helpful. They may need my bus.
